Music and environmental awareness united in a new project. “Edison – Change the Music” is the first low environmental impact project designed to promote the cause and culture of sustainable energy in music.

The project revolves around a competition for emerging bands which in two years has already attracted 650 bands and over 1,300 tracks. This year it will be staged in ten cities across Italy together with the X-Factor Tour. So how do you save energy at a rock concert?

Here are some guidelines: always use public transport and low-emissions vehicles for transporting musicians and equipment, use LED lighting on stage, sell food cultivated in local farms and insist on more efficient sound systems.

The green tour started on 8 June but will continue in Italy throughout the summer.
