For the last two decades this event is a must for everyone keen to know what’s cooking on the electronic music scene. SONAR is back in Barcelona and to make sure it can host all the artists keen to participate, it’s doubling up its locations. The classic “Sonar by Day” events (taking place in the CCCB Halls and the magnificent MACBA, the Museum of Contemporary Art) and “Sonar by Night” (at the Trade Exhibitions Centre in the Hospitalet district). The other venue will be at EXPOCoruña just outside the Galician city of La Coruña, in Spain’s north-eastern corner.

Here’s a rundown of some of the artists who will be performing during the three-day event which runs 17th, 18th and 19th June: Chemical Brothers, LCD Soundsystem, Plastikman, Air, Dizzee Rascal, Hot Chip, Jónsi, Matthew Herbert, the 2manydjs, Kid Koala, i Broadcast, Booka Shade, Flying Lotus.
And as usual the concerts will be accompanied by exhibitions, installations, special events and happenings. Not to be missed!
